We are a small family run business and would like all our guests to enjoy their stay. To this end, we have some simple conditions that govern our acceptance of bookings:-
We ask for payment equivalent to the first night room rate as a booking deposit. A contract will then exist between You and Us.
If – due to very short notice bookings – it is agreed that a deposit payment is not required before you arrive, then the contract will then exist from the point at which you either agree to the booking offer in writing or when you check in.
Payments and penalties
Full payment of the accommodation bill can be made at any point between the reservation being CONFIRMED and the guest checking out.
Please use the payment details provided in the booking information or contact us to arrange payment.
When the guest checks out, the account becomes payable in full (The Agreed Payment Date).
Should the account remain unpaid beyond the Agreed Payment Date, then we reserve the right to add late payment interest charges to the overdue amount. For both private and corporate bookings, these charges will be in line with the “Late commercial payments: charging interest and debt recovery” guidelines on the UK Government’s website where the current “Statutory Interest Rate” is the current Bank of England Base Rate + 8%. These interest amounts will be calculated and chargeable on a daily basis until the account is paid in full. Any accounts remaining overdue more than 3 months past the Account Due Date will be referred to the Small Claims Court for deliberation. Cancellations made more than 14 days before the booked arrival date may incur an administrative charge of 10% before refund of your deposit.
Cancellations made with less than 14 days but more than 3 days before the booked arrival date will result in the deposit payment being non refundable .
(In such cases, deposit payments MAY still be carried forward to future bookings or – at our discretion and subject to circumstances – refunded)
Once the booking is confirmed, cancellation by you within the three days prior to your arrival date would require the payment of the full booking amount to be made in full.
Corona Virus Cancellations
For ANY cancellation by Us or You which is directly due to Covid related restrictions or a positive covid test result, the deposit payments MAY still be carried forward to future bookings OR fully refunded.
Rates quoted are correct only for the specific number of guests, nights and dates shown. Should you change any of these, then the rates are subject to change.
Arrival and Departure
Check-in is between 15.00 hrs and 21.00 hrs. We are willing to accept luggage earlier in the day and may be able to accommodate arrivals outside of these times.
Please enquire when booking. Check-out is 10.30hrs in order for us to prepare the rooms for incoming guests.
Free Parking is provided in the Brixham Marina Car Park between 13.00 hours on the day you check in until 13.00 hours on the day you check out.
Parking outside of these times will be available, but may have to be paid for separately.
If you are likely to require additional parking outside of the above times, please do let us know as soon as possible.
If parking is required, PLEASE PROVIDE the registration number of the vehicle you will be arriving in as soon as you are able and – in any case – at least 24 hours before you are due to arrive?
This is required so that the registration can be allocated to one of our barrier pass cards before the vehicle first enters the car park.
Free parking is provided only if you have supplied us with the correct registration of your vehicle at least 24 hours before you arrive.
The car park entrance and exit are fitted with barriers and ANPR readers and the registration number needs to be added to the database before the permit becomes valid.
A. BEFORE ENTERING THE CAR PARK ….
Please call at the guest house to collect a barrier pass card.
If you don’t do this and you enter the car park by taking an entry ticket at the barrier, then you will be liable for any charges incurred. The free parking provided by us is only available when using one of our barrier pass cards.
B. There is a height restriction on this car park of 2.0m – (vehicles slightly higher than this may be able to access the upper level with care – please ask for details).
If in doubt, do not enter the car park until you have checked in with us to collect a barrier pass card. Use of the car park at any other time must be paid for at the car park.
Please ensure that you return the barrier pass cards to the guesthouse before you leave.
Unfortunately, barrier cards which are lost, mislaid or not returned when you leave will incur you a £30 charge to cover some of the costs of replacement.
You will be issued with your room and front door keys when you check in. You are requested to keep these keys with you at all times until you check out.
Please return keys before leaving the building on your departure day. Unfortunately, keys which are lost, mislaid or not returned when you leave will incur you a £30 charge to cover some of the costs of replacement.
Smoking or vaping is not allowed anywhere on the premises. We will charge an extra cleaning fee if you smoke or vape in your room.
We will also cancel what remains of your booking, ask you to leave the premises and you will become liable for the full cost of your stay.
Whilst we do understand that accidents occasionally happen and we may be able to absorb the costs of such events, we do still reserve the right to charge for any damage accidentally or otherwise caused.
Termination of bookings
“Please respect our home and our other guests. We reserve the right to terminate your booking if you contravene any of the above terms and conditions or engage in any unacceptable behaviour which may cause a nuisance or disturbance to our other guests.”
