Temporary Closure – to help combat spread of COVD-19 virus

After careful consideration of the latest official advice regarding limiting the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Claire and I have now reluctantly decided to close our doors to all guests forthwith and until further notice.
This was a very difficult decision for us to take and we hope that you will understand our reasoning for doing so.
Basically this is because we believe it is in the best health interests of all of our guests, ourselves, family and neighbours and for the wider community as a whole.
We do not – at this time – expect to re-open before at least June at the earliest.
Over the next few days we will be contacting those remaining guests who have not yet already cancelled their April and May dates and we will be updating in due course those guests booked for June and beyond.
We have decided not to take any new bookings at this time for accommodation required before July. However, should the countrywide situation improve sooner than expected, we will update you and may then be able to offer accommodation before this.
We very much regret having to do this, but feel that it would be irresponsible of us to remain open at this time and thereby encourage guests to travel here from all over the country before this pandemic is fully under control.
It truly saddens us to have to declare ourselves closed like this and to have to turn away any guest.
In the meantime, we will still be here and doing whatever we can to assist those most in need in Brixham and hope to see things back to normal as soon as possible.
And – of course – our live webcam is still up and running so you can still get your Brixham fix – even if you adhere to the official advice not to travel here .
Stay safe and well, everyone. Be kind … and we look forward to seeing you all again very soon.
Our very best wishes to you all.
Chris and Claire Toghill.
